A Tony award-winning play by Neil Simon. Brighton Beach Memoirs is set in Brooklyn, New York, during the Great Depression. It is a coming-of-age story told through the eyes of fifteen-year-old Eugene Morris Jerome, a Jewish teenager who dreams of being a writer, and his relationship with his family. It is the first play in Simon's Eugene trilogy, including Biloxi Blues and Broadway Bound.
