Through quick thinking, humour, and an instinctive act of hospitality, including baking cookies for her captors, Rachel managed to buy precious time until rescued. Filmmaker Wagner effectively blends documentary and dramatic reenactments with the real Rachel acting as “director” of the scenes portraying her own ordeal.
