Shirat HaLayla: A Summer Serenade

This enchanting Saturday night event was a community Havdalah experience led by Cantor Jeremy Burko from Beth Radom Synagogue with an inspiring unique twist. This service was first of its kind, taking place outside in the Honey & Barry Community Park at the Prosserman JCC as the sun set to end Shabbos.

A circle stage in the middle of the park is covered by string lights above - providing a starry sky. A mix of cozy blankets, soft seating and coffee tables surrounded the stage. Attendees relaxed and listened to the sounds of the Dior Quartet from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Share plates of indulgent treats, ice cream, cookies, cheesecake, and other delightful bites were paired perfectly with ice wines from Tzafona and coffee from Go Cup Yourself.

The Honey & Barry Community Park looked spectacular under the stars with a custom truss build for lights to shine above. Shirat HaLaya brought congregations, JCC members, and Jewish families from across the GTA together for the most meaningful tradition of summer.
