SOLD OUT. Unfiltered. Unapologetic.
Last night at the Leah Posluns Theatre, comedian Yechiel Jacobs delivered a sold-out evening that was as hilarious as it was hard-hitting. In a razor-sharp 45-minute set, Yechiel took the audience on a journey through Jewish life, modern absurdities, and the power of humor as a vehicle for truth. From laugh-out-loud observations about flying next to passengers juggling way toomany devices at once, to the universally relatable experience of riding an elevator on Shabbos with non-Jews, Yechiel’s comedy hit close to home. But beneath the jokes was something deeper — a clear message about why he chooses humor as his weapon of choice in today’s cultural battlefield.
Yechiel spoke candidly about calling out misinformation surrounding Israel and confronting the false narratives that dominate social media spaces. With precision and wit, he unpacked how anti-Israel sentiment has infiltrated younger generations. It was comedy with conviction — smart, fearless, and refreshingly honest.
The performance concluded with a 20-minute fireside chat with our VP of Events & Engagement, Jeremy Cammy, where Yechiel performed a bunch of his characters in a rapid-fire game provoked by Cammy. An exclusive VIP meet-and-greet, where 40 guests had the opportunity to meet Yechiel personally, snap photos, and continue the conversation one-on-one, finished off the night in style. The energy was electric, the room buzzing with connection, pride, and the unmistakable feeling of having experienced something that mattered.
This sold-out event reaffirmed the Leah Posluns Theatre’s commitment to bringing bold voices, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable live experiences to the community. Last night proved that laughter isn’t just entertainment — it’s a powerful form of truth-telling.
