Ever thought of dipping your toe into the fun world of improvised comedy? if so, then this class is for you! We’re offering a beginner’s course in the foundations of improvised comedy, taught by Second City alumnus, David Shore.
This is an eight-week course focusing on scene work. Students will learn all the basics of improv, including, “yes, and”; who, what & where; listening; status; being in the moment; how to organically start a scene; entering and exiting; space work; and performing multiple person scenes. Improv classes can help improve your public speaking, ability to think outside the box and listening skills. No prerequisites. Please note, if you’re going to miss two weeks of class in a row, or three classes in total, it would be best to take the course when it better fits your schedule.
